Who we are

The types of information we collect

We collect personal information when you provide it to us. “Personal information” is any information that can be used to identify you or that we can link to you. We may automatically collect certain information when you use, access, or interact with our Digital Services. And we may collect information from other sources, such as social media platforms that may share information about how you interact with our social media content.

Contact forms and digital services

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including when you communicate with us via email and form submission; when you sign up for or request that we contact you, send you newsletters, alerts, or other materials; when you submit an employment or contract application with us; when you sign up for a webinar or event; and when you respond to our communications or request additional information. The information you provide us may include your first and last name, contact information, title, position, and information about the company with which you are affiliated. Some of our services may require that you enter a password or other information in order to access certain pages and sites, and we collect such credentials when you enter them.

Cookies

We use browser cookies and similar technologies to collect and store certain information when you use, access, or interact with our digital services. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

We do not currently work with web browser “do not track” options or other mechanisms that may allow you to opt out of the collection of information across networks of websites and online services as there is no universal standard for how online services should respond to such signals.  We may develop policies for responding to do-not-track signals that we will describe in this Privacy Policy.

Embedded content from other websites and third party links

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We may use the information we collect:

  • To respond to your requests for information, services and general inquiries
  • To send you newsletters, marketing communications, and other materials that may interest you
  • To enter a survey or provide feedback

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share information that reasonably identifies you or your organization with unaffiliated entities for their independent use except with your prior permission. We may share information that does not reasonably identify you or your organization as permitted by applicable law.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, you can let us know by sending us an email via our Contact US page. Additionally, the electronic marketing communications we send you may contain the option to opt-out.
